Train Knot — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 15 October 2026
Train Knot is a rail yard puzzle game for iPhone, made by Maxim Cucerenco. This policy explains what the game does — and does not do — with your data.
Your progress: your device and your iCloud
Everything Train Knot keeps about you — the levels you have cleared, your stars and coins, and your settings — is stored on your device and, if iCloud is on, in your own iCloud account, so it follows you to a new iPhone or a reinstall. Apple stores that copy for you; Train Knot has no server of its own, so the developer cannot see how you play. Reset progress in the game’s Settings erases it from the device and from iCloud.
The game does not ask for access to your camera, photos, contacts, location or microphone.
What Train Knot itself collects
Nothing. The game contains no analytics service and sends no data of its own to the developer or to anyone else.
Train Knot is built with the Unity engine. Unity’s own analytics, crash reporting and performance reporting are switched off in the game. The Unity runtime may still send basic anonymous technical information about the device, such as its model, operating system version and hardware capabilities, as described in Unity’s privacy policy.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Apple’s Game Center, Train Knot sends your scores to its leaderboards: your time on each level and on the Daily Jam, your Daily Jam streak and your total stars. Other Game Center players can see your Game Center nickname and scores there, as Apple’s Game Center settings allow. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy; the developer only sees the leaderboards anyone can see. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent.
Advertising
Train Knot is free. It shows a banner ad at the bottom of most screens and, on the screen after a cleared level, a larger banner below the buttons — always away from anything you can tap. Ads never cover the yard, and there are no interstitial or pop-up ads anywhere in the game. You can also choose to watch a short video for a reward the game states first (such as an extra heart or a minute more); videos only ever play after you tap for them. All ads are served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK).
To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as your IP address (used to estimate an approximate location), device identifiers, the ads you have seen or tapped, and crash and performance diagnostics. Google describes this in its privacy and terms and lists the companies it may work with in its advertising partners documentation.
Before any ad is requested, Train Knot asks Google’s User Messaging Platform whether consent is needed where you are. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and in US states with their own privacy laws, you are asked first, and where consent is needed and not given the game shows no ads at all. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices in the game’s Settings, or Privacy options on the screen shown after each cleared level.
Train Knot does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, so iOS does not give advertisers your device’s advertising identifier.
Purchases
If the game offers purchases (such as a one-time Supporter purchase or a tip), they are sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple handles the payment; the developer never sees or stores your payment details.
Children
Train Knot has no chat, no accounts of its own and no links to social networks; its only shared feature is Apple’s Game Center leaderboards, described above. The developer does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes in a way that affects this policy — a new kind of ad, a new advertising partner, a new online feature, or analytics of any kind — this page is updated and the effective date above changes with it.
